How to automatically change Element IDs for new elements?

Description

Element IDs might be assigned automatically or manually, leading to discrepancies. If new elements are added after IDs are assigned, they may not follow the existing sequence.

Solution

Archicad provides a way to automate this process through its Work Environment Settings. By enabling this option, the software will assign unique Element IDs to new elements as they are placed. Here's how to activate this feature:

1. Navigate to Options > Work Environment > More Options...

   

2. In the More Options settings, enable the checkbox for Assign New Element ID to Each New Element.
