How to create an automated PDF publisher set from a layout subset?

Issue description

You want to create a publisher set that updates automatically when you add new layouts to a specific layout subset. You are looking for a workflow similar to cloning a view folder so that the publisher content always follows the subset contents.

Solution

1. Click the New Publisher Set button (the + icon), type a name for the new set, then click OK.

   

   

2. Go to Document > Publish to open the Organizer – Publisher.

3. In the Organizer – Publisher, select the newly created publisher set on the right side.

   

4. On the left side under the layout book, select the subset folder that you want to clone, then click Add Shortcut.

When you add a layout book subset as a shortcut into a publisher set, that publisher folder stays linked to the subset and its contents. Any new layouts you add into that subset later will also appear in the linked publisher folder automatically.
