Description
If you are using an older version of an operating system and trying to log in to the License Manager Tool, you might run into an error that causes the login window to go blank.
This error can happen using the following operating systems:
macOS 13 or older
Windows 7 or older
When opening the License Manager Tool from a non-supported operating system it launches the built in, default browser to login. During the login flow, the page will be blank due to a certificate error. Updates for these certificates are usually distributed through regular operating system updates but won’t happen if your operating system is out of support.
Solution
To work around the issue, you should manually update your root certificate.
Follow the steps below to import the trusted certificate:
MacOS
Download the certificate from here.
-
Open Keychain Access
Open Applications → Utilities → Keychain Access
Or use Spotlight (⌘ + Space) and type “Keychain Access”
-
Import the certificate
You have two options:Option A: Simply drag and drop the
.crtor.pemfile into the Keychain Access window.Option B: In Keychain Access, go to File → Import Items... and select the downloaded certificate file. When prompted, choose the System keychain (not Login).
Trust the certificate.
Once imported, locate the certificate (search “Sectigo” in the search bar), then double-click it to open its details. Expand the Trust section and set “When using this certificate” → “Always Trust”. Close the window after that and enter your administrator password to confirm.Restart Safari (or your Mac).
