How can I download a software key to my computer

Issue description

You want to transfer your Archicad software key to another computer.

This typically involves downloading your software key from the Company License Pool to your current workstation. 

Solution

Downloading a Software Key (Archicad 24 or Newer)

If your software key has not yet been downloaded to any workstation, Archicad can automatically retrieve it.

Requirements:

• You are an Administrator or Member of your Graphisoft Company Account
  For more info, see Add new members to a Graphisoft ID company
• You are signed in with your Graphisoft ID
• A software key is available and accessible in the Company License Pool

Steps:

1. Launch Archicad
2. Sign in using your Graphisoft ID from the Archicad Start dialog or via Help menu → Sign In
   
3. Create a new project or open an existing one.

Result:

• Archicad automatically downloads an available software key to your computer.
• If Archicad does not download the key automatically, proceed to the steps below

Downloading a Software Key (Archicad 23 or Earlier)

For earlier versions, or if the key is not automatically downloaded, use the License Manager Tool.

Steps:

1. Open the License Manager Tool
2. Sign in with your Graphisoft ID
   Note: Without signing in, keys in the Company License Pool will not appear
3. In the Available Protection Keys list, select the required key (marked with a cloud icon)
4. Click Download
   
5. Wait for the confirmation message

The software key is downloaded and ready to use on your workstation
