Description
You may need to disable the previous NET key host computer to prevent it from acting as a server. This ensures that only the new standalone Archicad software protection keys are used.
This article explains how to disable the NET key host server using CodeMeter WebAdmin.
Instructions
1. Open CodeMeter WebAdmin
All CodeMeter settings can be managed in CodeMeter WebAdmin. You can access it in two ways:
- Open CodeMeter Center (from Applications on macOS or via the Start menu on Windows) and click WebAdmin
- Or simply open your browser and enter: localhost:22350
See the CodeMeter/WebAdmin article for more guidance about the available CodeMeter settings.
2. Disable the server in CodeMeter WebAdmin
- In CodeMeter WebAdmin, go to: Configuration > Server > Server Access
- Check the Disable option for Network Server
- Apply the changes
3. Restart the CodeMeter service
To finalize the changes, you must restart the CodeMeter service. You can do this in different ways depending on your operating system:
- macOS: Go to Apple > System Preferences > CodeMeter, click the lock icon to make changes, then click Stop Service and Start Service
- Windows: Open the CodeMeter application from the Start menu, go to the Process menu, and restart the service
- Alternatively: Restart the computer
