Issue Description
Your schedule exceeds the size of the Layout, requiring you to create another sheet for its continuation. Is there a quicker way to handle this without manually splitting the schedule?
Solution
If your schedule is too big to fit onto a single Layout, Archicad offers a convenient way to automatically split it across multiple Layouts, ensuring that all the schedule data is published seamlessly. This feature is available for Drawings created from Element Schedules and Project Indexes.
- Go to the Layout where your Schedule is placed and select the Drawing.
- Right-click on the selected Drawing and choose “Drawing Selection Settings” to open the settings panel.
- In the “Frame” tab, choose “Fit Frame to Drawing”.
- Then, check the box labeled “Split Drawing Among Multiple Layouts” and click OK.
Archicad will now automatically create multiple Layouts to display the entire schedule across different sheets. In the Layout Window, you’ll notice that the drawing has been divided, with clear indications that it spans several pages.
In the Navigator’s Layout Book, only one Layout will be shown, but you’ll observe a unique multi-page icon next to it. The total number of Layouts used for the schedule will be displayed after the Drawing Name, making it easy to keep track of how many pages it spans.
You can navigate between the different Layout pages by using the navigation arrows located at the bottom of the Layout Window.
TIP: The Layout ID and Layout Number will be the same for all these pages since they are considered as “one”.
