Issue Description
You created a Graphic Override Combination for your Elevation Views, but you see that the Override Rules are applied correctly in some views, and not at all in others. Even if you have applied the Graphic Override combination from the View Settings of the specific views.
Solution
You should watch out for the Fade Distant Elements setting in Elevation/Section Settings window, as it could be interfering with your Graphic Override combination.
Here are two ways to correct it:
If you do not wish to use the Fade Distant elements option:
- Find your Elevation in the View Map.
-
Right Click > Elevation Settings.
- In the Elevation settings window, expand the Model Appearance section.
-
Uncheck the Fade Distant Elements setting, as it might be interfering with your Graphic Override.
If you wish to use Fade Distant Elements in combination with Graphic Overrides:
If you are using Fade Distant Elements in combination with your Graphic Override, watch out for the Horizontal Range of the Elevation Marker, which is added automatically to the Elevation Marker when you activate this Model Appearance option (this will not be reflected in your final documentation but does affect your model's appearance on the Elevation View).
- Locate the Elevation Marker on a Floorplan View.
- Adjust the Horizontal Range by dragging the range line in the Elevation Marker:
- Click on the line; a Pet Palette will appear.
- Drag the line to redefine which model elements are considered 'distant elements'.
- Verify that everything within the boundaries of the Elevation Marker and Horizontal Range line displays normally; elements behind the range line will be affected by the Fade Distant Elements Override.
