Issue description
When you place drawings on layouts that have different scales than desired, the Autotext scale list automatically includes all drawing scales from the layout. Follow this guide if you want to exclude specific drawings from displaying their scale information in indexes or scale lists.
Solution
You can control which drawing scales appear in autotext and indexes using the Include Scale in Autotexting and Indexes checkbox in the Drawing Settings dialog.
- Navigate to your Layout containing the drawing you want to exclude.
- Select the drawing on the layout by clicking on it.
- Right-click on the selected drawing and choose Drawing Selection Settings from the context menu.
- In the Drawing Settings expand the Size and Appearance panel.
- Uncheck the Include Scale in Autotexting and Indexes checkbox.
- Click OK to apply the changes.
This setting is particularly useful for placed views such as schedules that may display misleading drawing scale values or PDF files where the scale information is not relevant, allowing you to have cleaner documentation.
