Issue Description
You are not receiving on-screen pop-up notifications when teammates send messages in teamwork projects; the Messages panel in the Teamwork Palette shows new messages, but no alert appears on your screen when they arrive.
Solution
Message alerts not appearing typically occurs because the Show New Message Alert in Teamwork setting has been disabled in your work environment preferences. Alert positioning can also become misconfigured when using multiple monitors, or changing monitor setups.
First, make sure Message Alerts are enabled:
- Go to Options > Work Environment > More Options.
- Check the Show New Message Alert in Teamwork option.
- Click OK to apply changes.
Next, reset the position of Alert messages in Multi-Monitor Setups.
Windows:
- Close all running Archicad instances.
- Go to Registry Editor (regedit).
- Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GRAPHISOFT\ARCHICAD-64\ARCHICAD-64 22.0.0 INT R1\Mail Bubble - replace 22 and INT according to your own version.
- Delete the New Mail Notification Rectangle registry key.
- Restart Archicad.
macOS:
- Close all running Archicad instances
- Go to /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/ Note: user Library is hidden by default. Press Alt when you click on the menu item "Go"
- Open AC-64 22.0.0 INT v1.plist with a text editor, which is not formatting text (e.g. Sublime Text, MS Visual Studio Code) - replace 22 and INT according to your own
- Delete the New Mail Notification Rectangle and the <string> line under it
- Save the file
- Restart Archicad.
