Issue description
When a Teamwork project is opened in Archicad or changes are received, the following message appears:
Warning!
Some libraries could not be received because their local copies could not be overwritten.
Solution
1. Delete local Teamwork data
If the error message appears, the local Teamwork cache data must first be cleared. You can proceed as described in the how-to section of the article When should I delete local Teamwork data in Archicad?.
2. Check path lengths
The path length of the storage location for the locally saved cache data must not exceed the standard length limitation for file paths.
- Under Windows, the path must not be longer than 260 characters – complete path including drive letter, colon, and terminating null character.
- Under macOS, note that a single file or folder name may be up to 255 characters long, and the full file path is system-limited to about 1,024 characters.
For example, libraries from a .pla file with many nested folders often cause unnecessarily long paths. The library should be extracted from the archive project and uploaded separately to the BIMcloud. The .pla BIMcloud library must be removed and replaced by the separately extracted libraries linked.
.lcf containers can be unpacked via File > Libraries and Objects > Unpack Container . The unpacked containers can be adjusted in the folder structure and re-uploaded to BIMcloud. Here too, the old BIMcloud library must be removed and the libraries re-linked.
3. BIMcloud server storage space
If the error message continues to appear and a BIMcloud Basic or BIMcloud (on premise) is operated locally, the free storage space on the BIMcloud server must be checked. At least 100 GB should be free.
Note: Further information is provided by the Graphisoft Community article Recommended Hardware for BIMcloud Basic.
4. Check access rights to TW Data folder
In some cases, the local cache folder may also be write-protected or security software may block write permissions. The user's write permissions must be checked. Additionally, it must be ensured that relevant exceptions for Archicad are set in the security software.
