Issue Description
A pop-up message appears when attempting to join a Teamwork project: Incompatible or corrupted cache file, unable to open Archicad cache. Preventing you from accessing the project.
Solution
All data from all Teamwork projects, regardless of the Archicad version they are in, are are stored in the Local Data folder, which is located by default in the GRAPHISOFT folder (under your user data, in your hard drive).
This issue occurs when the local Teamwork cache becomes corrupted. To resolve it, delete the local cache using the Local Data Manager:
Steps to Delete Local Teamwork Cache
- Open Teamwork > Project > Local Data Manager.
- Select the affected Project or Library from the list.
- Click Delete Selected Project from Local Data at the bottom of the dialog box.
Once deleted, the local copy of the project or library is removed from the system.
Important Notes
- Deleting local data is equivalent to leaving the project, but your reservations will remain.
- If the project is hosted on an online BIMcloud, Archicad will recommend to leave the project instead of just deleting the local copy. Leaving the project also releases reservations automatically.
- If you manually delete the local copy, ensure that you also release any reservations if needed.
- Any unsent changes will be lost after deleting local data.
