Issue description
When you open the Teamwork > Project > Open/Join Teamwork Project dialog you do not see all expected projects on the BIMcloud server. Some Teamwork projects are missing from the list although other users can see and open them.
Solution
Missing Teamwork projects usually result from BIMcloud access rights or from a version mismatch between the client and the projects.
The Show All Items option in the Open/Join Teamwork Project dialog helps you confirm that the projects exist on the server and shows which application version they use.
1. Confirm BIMcloud user group and “View – Projects” access
First make sure that your BIMcloud user belongs to a group that has permission to see projects in the server folders. An administrator should check that your user is a member of at least one group with the View – Projects permission so that the projects appear in your list.
For detailed steps on opening BIMcloud Manager locating a user and adding the user to the required groups use this guide Add or remove user group members in BIMcloud Manager .
Note: If you cannot access BIMcloud Manager ask a BIMcloud administrator to perform these checks for you.
2. Check project version and migration path
If your groups and permissions are correct and projects are still not visible the most common next cause is a version mismatch between the client and the Teamwork projects.
Projects created in an older application version cannot be opened directly in a newer version. Migration is one possible approach, or the project can be opened using the original application version.
For a complete migration workflow for Teamwork projects stored on BIMcloud see Updating Projects – Migrating from Older to Newer Archicad Versions on BIMcloud .
Tip: For background on migration rules in version 29 see Migrating to Archicad 29.
3. Use “Show All Items” to reveal all BIMcloud projects
After confirming that your permissions are correct use the Show All Items option to display every project stored on the connected BIMcloud including projects created in other versions.
This step focuses on the client dialog only and does not change any BIMcloud permissions or project versions.
Open the client application and choose Teamwork > Project > Open/Join Teamwork Project.
For more detail about this dialog see Open or Join Teamwork Project .In the Open/Join Teamwork Project dialog make sure that the correct BIMcloud server is selected at the top.
At the bottom of the dialog activate the Show All Items checkbox.
When Show All Items is enabled the project list changes from showing only compatible projects to showing every project available on the BIMcloud.
You will now see Teamwork projects that are based on different application versions along with projects that you cannot open with the current version.
Expected behavior after identifying the project version
If the project version matches your current application version and build the project can be joined directly from the list.
If the project version is older than your current version you cannot join it directly in this newer version.
In that case use one of the following paths.
Open the project in its original version then continue working in that version for the remaining project lifecycle.
Migrate the project to the newer version by following the migration workflow for Teamwork projects then re‑share it to BIMcloud for continued work.
Important: The Show All Items option is a diagnostic tool that helps you see and identify projects it does not bypass version compatibility or change project permissions.
Summary of recommended workflow
Use the steps in this order so that you can quickly understand why a project does not appear in the Open/Join Teamwork Project dialog.
Confirm that you belong to a group with the View – Projects permission in BIMcloud.
Check whether the projects were created in another application version and decide whether to keep them in that version or migrate them.
Turn on Show All Items in the Open/Join Teamwork Project dialog to list every BIMcloud project and read each project’s version before choosing your next step.
