Issue description
You are migrating your project template to Archicad 28 and notice that your Favorites are not being imported, or recognized by Archicad 28.
Solution
Favorites cannot be migrated to Archicad 28; new ones must be created using the global library. To ease the process, you can use the Favorite Converter Tool, capable of converting many favorites to be compatible with Archicad 28.
1. Download the Add-on from this site.
2. Copy and paste the bundle file (MAC) or the contents of the ZIP folder (Windows) inside the Add-ons folder which you can find in the Archicad 28 Installation folder.
3. Open Archicad 27 (or the version from where you want to export your favorites).
4. Export a folder with XML's from the favorites palette.
5. Run Archicad 28 go to Options > Favorites converter
6. In the Favorites converter window, select the folder where you exported your favorites as XML files, and the destination folder where the converted favorites will be stored.
7. Click on Convert.
8. Open Window > Palettes > Favorites Palette and Import the converted XML files as favorites.
Once the new favorites are ready, you won't need to recreate them in future versions. Library packages will ease migration issues, so you won't have to migrate library objects with each new Archicad version. You can also add newly released library packages to existing projects if their content is useful.
