Description
I want to dimension both the bottom and the top level of a slab, with one marker. Using the gravity tool, I can only choose either the top or the bottom, so I need to place two markers.
Solution
There are a few options to achieve the desired result
A. Custom/Autotext Level Dimension Tool
Allows you to snap it to an object or element, displaying the level you input in the Autotext. You can insert multiple Autotext entries as required by your project.
- From a single Level Dimension Tool, open its Level Dimension Selection Settings.
- Expand the Text Content tab.
- Enable the Custom value option and enter values from the available selection inside.
B. Symbol Label Tool
Offers both default and customizable auto-text features. It provides a broader range of options and templates for customization compared to the Level Dimension tool.
- Click the Label Tool in the Toolbox to open the selection settings dialog.
- Under the Label Default Settings tab, select Elevation Label XX.
- Click OK to close.
- You can also edit the Content information in the Symbol Label Custom Settings.
