How to only have an outline for the stair above the break line

Issue description

To improve the visibility of the details beneath the stair flight in your project you can turn off the hidden lines of the stair structure that are located above the break mark in Archicad. 

Solution

To hide the upper level of the stairs beyond the break line in Archicad:

1. Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options.
2. Navigate to the Detail Level of Stair and Railings Symbols tab.
3. Under the options, select Visible Parts Only.

This adjustment removes the hidden lines above the break mark, making the details beneath the stair flight visible.

By default, the break mark is set to align with the floor plan cut plane height. However, it is possible to set the break line based on the number of steps:

1. Open the Stair Selection Settings.
2. Click on the Break Mark and on the Break Mark Settings tab.
3. Set the number of steps as preferred under Break Mark Position selection.

Another option is to set the break line based on custom height:

1. Open the Stair Selection Settings.
2. Click on the Break Mark and on the Break Mark Settings tab.
3. Select Custom Height under Break Mark Position selection.
