Issue description
This article explains why arrow‑style line types may appear along your walls and slabs in plan view, and shows how to turn them off using On‑Screen Options, Graphic Overrides, and element settings.
Solution
1. Check your On-Screen Options (most likely)
Go to View > On-screen View Options and click once on Wall & Beam Reference Lines.
Note that if the icon to the left of the option is highlighted in blue, this means the option is enabled. In this case, we need to disable it to remove the small arrows from the plan.
2. Verify that you have no Graphic Override Rule affecting Line Types in Archicad.
1. Go to Document > Graphic Overrides > Graphic Override Combinations...
2. On the panel on the right, if a rule shows a line symbol under the Line Type column, this means the rule is affecting line types.
3. Select the rule and click on the '...' button to modify it.
4. In the Override Style section, uncheck the box next to Line Type to disable the line type override, or change the line type from arrow to solid, etc.
5. Click OK and OK again when you are back to the Graphic Override Combinations window.
Tip: The Renovation Filter has its own set of Graphic Override rules, if you have made changes in the Renovation Filter, take a look at those rules too.
3. Check your Wall settings, and verify the line type under Floor Plan Display.
1. Select one of your affected walls/slabs.
2. Open the Settings dialog.
3. Expand the Floor Plan and Section tab.
4. Check the line types under Cut Surfaces and Outlines for Cut lines and Uncut Lines, and change them to solid or any other type you need.
