Why can’t I see my cloud license in License Manager Tool?

Issue Description

You have an Archicad Studio/Collaborate subscription, and want to use your Cloud license to run Archicad. You open the GS License Manager Tool, and after logging in with your Graphisoft ID, no license appears as available to download.

Solution

Cloud licenses from Collaborate or Studio subscriptions never appear in License Manager Tool because they are not stored in CodeMeter hardware key drives or software key containers; they are cloud entitlements linked to your Graphisoft account. The License Manager Tool is only used to manage traditional hardware and software keys that belong to perpetual, rental, or SSA/Forward contracts.

Collaborate and Studio cloud licenses (including floating licenses assigned to groups) are managed on the online licensing management page, not as local keys.​ Therefore, as a cloud license has no physical or software key container in your machine, there is nothing for License Manager Tool to display, so the subscription will never be visible there.

Check which license type you have

1. Go to ​https://id.graphisoft.com/ and login with your Graphisoft ID credentials.
2. Click on your profile icon, and select Licenses from the dropdown menu.
3. Go to the Licenses section, or navigate through the tabs on the left panel.
4. Your cloud license subscriptions, software licenses, and hardware licenses will be listed in the corresponding sections.

How to use your cloud license

1. Launch Archicad.
2. Sign in with your Graphisoft ID from the startup dialog or via Help > Sign in with Graphisoft ID.​
3. If a valid cloud license seat is assigned to your account the program runs in full mode without the need of using the License Manager Tool.

4. If you see “No license found” click Manage Licenses in that dialog to open your Graphisoft account and verify that a seat is actually assigned to your user or to a group you belong to; if not, ask your company administrator or contract manager to assign one.

   Tip:​cUsing a cloud license on different computers.

When you still need License Manager Tool

• Use License Manager Tool only for hardware keys and software keys, for example to download a software key from the license pool or to update a hardware key to a new version.​
• If your organisation still has SSA/Forward licenses on keys you can continue to manage those with License Manager Tool but this will not change or display any cloud subscriptions you have.
