The shift key has stopped constraining the cursor.

Issue Description

In Archicad, holding the Shift key should typically constrain the cursor to 90° increments or align it with the construction grid/guide when drawing or editing.

Solution

 If it’s not functioning as expected, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot:

Go to the Options > Work Environment > Input Constraints and Guides.

Make sure the 3 boxes highlighted in the picture below are checked.

If the cursor still fails to constrain then, reset the Work Environment.

• Go to Options > Work Environment > Apply Profile and choose a default profile like Standard Profile.
