Issue description
When you attempt to publish a model using the BIMx Publisher, the upload process fails and does not complete. The progress indicator may freeze or display an error message:
Solution
This malfunction is typically caused by corrupted or excessive log files in the BIMxUploader folder. Clearing the contents of this folder resets the upload process and resolves most upload failures. This folder is not cleared automatically by default.
- Close the application fully before making changes.
-
Locate the BIMxUploader folder on your computer:
- Windows: C:\Users\<username>\GRAPHISOFT\BIMxUploader\
-
macOS: System drive/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/GRAPHISOFT/BIMxUploader/
To reveal the Library folder in Finder, press the Option key and open Go > Library.
- Open the BIMxUploader folder.
- Select all files and folders inside.
- Delete all contents from the BIMxUploader folder.
- Restart the application.
- Attempt to publish the BIMx Hyper-model again.
TIP: It is recommended to remove all log files from this folder whenever you encounter upload issues with the BIMx Publisher. This ensures that no corrupted data blocks the upload process.
