Issue description
You place a window or door in a wall built from a complex profile. The opening appears correctly positioned in the floor plan, but its location does not match in the 3D view, section, or elevation.
Solution
This mismatch occurs when the opening reference line in the wall's profile is not aligned with the correct edge of the profile. By default the reference line is set automatically, but it can shift after you edit the profile.
Open the Profile Manager using one of the following methods:
- Select the wall containing the window or door, right-click, and choose Edit Selected Composite/Profile.
- Go to Options > Complex Profiles > Profile Manager, then select the profile from the list.
- Enable the Opening Reference layer in the Design Layers tab of the Profile Manager. - If this layer stays off, openings are placed along the profile's bounding box instead.
Align the two opening reference lines, shown in red, with the correct edges of the wall on each side. These lines define where the opening is positioned in 3D.
- Click Save, then close the Profile Manager to apply the changes.
Check the window or door in the 3D view to confirm it now matches its floor plan position, as shown below.
