Issue description
You have walls on a sloping site, which belong to the same story but are positioned at different elevations. You notice gaps or missing wall segments on plan views where walls are positioned significantly higher or lower than the current Floor Plan Cut Plane, but they are visible on 3D.
Solution
This problem occurs because the Floor Plan Cut Plane has a limited vertical range that may not encompass walls at varying elevations on sloping terrain. Even though all walls belong to the same story, those positioned above or below the cutting plane range will not display as cut.
- Select all walls that need to appear regardless of their elevation position.
- Open the Wall Selection Settings dialog.
- Expand the Floor Plan & Section panel.
- Set Floor Plan Display to Symbolic Cut.
- Ensure Show on Stories is set to Home Story Only (required for symbolic cut).
This settings combination forces walls to display as cut regardless of their actual vertical position relative to the cut plane.
After applying these adjustments, all walls on your sloping site should appear on the floor plan view, with those outside the primary cutting range typically shown as dashed lines to indicate their overhead or below-plane position.
