I need to create a hexagonal roof. What is the easiest way to do this?
Solution
Using the arc or the circle tool, draw a circle circumscribing the shape of your hexagonal roof.
Go to Design > Magic Wand Settings. Under Tracing Method, select Linear Segments. Select “Segments Along Circles” then change the value to 6.
Model the roof using the roof tool with the magic wand.
Tip: Aside from roof, you can also use this method on other tools like the wall, beam, slab, railing and curtain wall.
