Issue description
If you are using an Intel-based version of Archicad on an Apple silicon Mac, such as M1, M2, M3, or newer processor, you may see a macOS notification that support is ending for Intel-based applications.
This message appears because macOS is using Rosetta 2 to run an application or component that was built for Intel-based Macs. Rosetta 2 is Apple’s translation technology that allows Intel-based apps to run on Apple silicon Macs.
Apple has announced that support for Rosetta will end in a future version of macOS. Because of this, Intel-based applications or components may no longer work in a future macOS release.
Solution
To ensure compatibility and improve performance, we recommend installing the native Apple silicon version of Archicad.
The Apple silicon version is optimized for Apple processors and does not rely on Rosetta 2.
You can download the Apple silicon version of Archicad from the Graphisoft Downloads page. When downloading Archicad for Mac, select the Mac (Apple silicon) option.
Additional information
If you continue to see the notification after installing the Apple silicon version of Archicad, check whether any installed add-ons or related components are still Intel-based. These may also need to be updated to an Apple silicon-compatible version.
