Localhost communication ports
Archicad uses local communication between its components and supporting services on localhost (127.0.0.1). To ensure that Archicad operates correctly, do not restrict or block the following localhost TCP port ranges:
19723–1974319800–19900
These ports are intended for communication on the local computer only. They do not need to be exposed to external networks or opened for inbound connections from other devices.
If endpoint-security, firewall, or port-control software restricts loopback traffic, configure an exception that allows Archicad and its related local components to communicate through these port ranges on localhost.
BIMcloud and BIMcloud Basic configuration
If you're using BIMcloud On-Premises or BIMcloud Basic, you'll need to set up the BIMcloud Server and Manager during the installation process. You can always reconfigure these components later if needed.
- BIMcloud Server configuration (Define port, data folders, snapshots, and backup preference for the BIMcloud Manager)
- BIMcloud Manager configuration (Define name, port, password, and backup preference for the BIMcloud Manager)
- Reconfigure BIMcloud components
