Issue description
Users with a Graphisoft cloud license can successfully run Archicad 27 and above, but receive a "No license found" error when attempting to launch Archicad 26.
Solution
This occurs because Archicad 26 only supports cloud licensing from Update 5 onwards. If your Archicad 26 installation is running a version prior to Update 5, it cannot authenticate with Graphisoft's cloud licensing servers, even though your cloud license is valid and works correctly with newer versions like Archicad 28. Update Archicad 26 to the latest version (Update 5 or later) to enable cloud license compatibility.
Method 1: Built-in update feature
- Launch Archicad 26 (it may open in demo mode)
- Go to Help > Check for Updates…
- Follow the prompts to download and install the update
- Restart Archicad after the update completes
Method 2: Manual download
- Visit the Graphisoft Downloads page.
- Navigate to Archicad 26 Updates
- Download the appropriate update package for your operating system
- Run the installer with administrator privileges
- Restart Archicad 26 and sign in with your Graphisoft ID
Once updated, launch Archicad 26 and sign in with the same Graphisoft ID credentials you use for Archicad 28. Your cloud license will now be recognized.
