How to show detailed roof sheeting that has profile?

Issue Description

The project I am working on requires a more detailed roofing. Applying surfaces only does not provide me a proper profile. Is there a way to do this in Archicad?

Solution

Graphisoft has created a free Add-on tool for Archicad that can easily create more detailed roof sheets. To do this,

1. Make sure first to download and install the tool here : Goodies for Archicad. Please check the proper language version before downloading. 
2. Once you have installed the add-on, proceed in adding the Accessories library in Archicad.
   • TIP: Please check this article to add the Accessories Library correctly, according to your Archicad version.
     
3. Select your Roof then go to Design > Design Extras > Accessories > Roof Accessories…
   
   
   
4. Select Roof Surfacer in the Library.
5. then at the General Settings under the Custom Settings… tab, select Italian Tiles. 
6. Click OK.

TIP: Keep in mind that this object will add to the polycount of the project thus enlarging the file size, so it’s best to allocate a specific layer to these 3D elements and only make them visible for those views where it is necessary.
