Issue Description
When plotting land or property boundaries in Archicad, it's common to receive coordinates from a surveyor. These coordinates are often given in terms of Northing and Easting. However, by default, Archicad uses angle-based inputs, which may lead to confusion. The question arises, "Can the input format be switched from angle to Northing and Easting?"
Solution
Archicad allows users to change the coordinate input format from angles to Northing and Easting by adjusting the project’s working units.
Steps to Modify Working Units for Coordinate Input:
1. Open the Working Units Settings:
- In Archicad, navigate to Options > Project Preferences > Working Units…
2. Adjust the Angle Unit to the Surveyor's Unit:
- In the Working Units window, go to the Angle Unit tab.
- From the available options, select Surveyor's Unit to switch from the angle-based input to the Northing and Easting format.
By making this change, you can now input the Northing and Easting coordinates directly into your project, simplifying the process of drawing boundary lines or any polyline based on surveyor data.
