Description
The design I’m working on would use slanted risers due to the limited space available for the staircase. I could only achieve this by converting the Stair to a Morph and manually adjusted the risers to be slanted, but this is quite troublesome as I lost the Stair property when I converted it to morph. Also, if there are changes, I need to repeat the whole process again. Is there an easier method to model a stair with slanted risers?
Solution
It is possible to change the angle of risers in the Stair settings. To do this:
- Select the Stair tool and open its Settings.
- Under Geometry and Positioning tab, select Slanted Riser then set it to By Angle to adjust the angle of inclination.
To give additional details to the Stair, it is also possible to add Nosing to the Treads and set the spacing from the Riser. To do that, go to Tread set the Nosing spacing under the Tread Settings tab. Check the Nosing option under the Tread Component Settings to edit the Nosing profile to your liking.
