Issue Description
You might find that Zones are affected by objects that are set to different Renovation status than the Zone itself.
For example (view pictures below),
- Existing perimeter walls are created with a divider and existing 2 zones.
- The dividing wall is set 'to be Demolished'.
- Once you click on 'Update Zones', they either ignore the demolished wall or overlap each other.

Solution
Note that while using the Renovation filters, elements which do not share the same Renovation Status will not interact with each other by default.
- Go to Window > Palettes > Renovation Palette
- Select your original Zones and change their Renovation Status to 'To be Demolished'
Now, when you make modifications to the dividing wall, and update the Zones, these will consider the 'to be Demolished' wall. These Zones will be visible in the Renovation Filter 'Existing Plan' as technically, all elements 'to be Demolished' are part of an existing arrangement.
To showcase modifications to the Zone:
- Create a new Zone, assign it the 'New' Element Status in the Renovation Palette. This Zone will be affected by other elements with the 'New' Status.
Set the Zone Construction Method to Manual or Polyline if you have multiple zones within the same open space.
Control the visibility of these Zones within a certain Renovation filter:
- Go to Renovation filter Settings. (image below)
- You can turn element visibility on/off by their Renovation Status.
