The buildingSMART Professional Certification is designed to assist training organizations in providing internationally standardized and recognized training content. buildingSMART itself will not conduct training; instead, it will define learning outcomes, oversee the accreditation of training providers, and manage the assessment and certification of individuals.

Who can apply?
The Graphisoft BIM Manager Program is an accredited training course recognized by buildingSMART. Only individuals who have obtained certification as Archicad Certified BIM Managers are eligible to pursue the buildingSMART certification. Graphisoft is the exclusive global provider of this training.
Please be advised that an Archicad Certified BIM Manager may only apply for the buildingSMART Foundation Certification through Graphisoft Learn. It is not possible to register for the examination through another provider in your country (if available) without first completing their respective training programs.
Who should apply?
Individuals who wish to obtain certification from buildingSMART without participating in a specialized training program may do so. Application for this certification is optional and incurs an additional fee.
How to apply for the buildingSMART Professional Certification - Foundation module?
Applications for certification are managed by Graphisoft via our Learn Portal. Upon achieving status as a Graphisoft Certified BIM Manager, the buildingSMART Foundation Certification will then become available to you.

The certification and accompanying quiz are administered by buildingSMART through their own platform. The examination and certification fees are determined by buildingSMART, and Graphisoft applies these fees without any additional markup for our Archicad Certified BIM Managers.
Rules of the certification
Attendees are permitted to take the test only once. In the event of failure, a new ticket must be purchased. Successful candidates will receive a certificate and will be included in the buildingSMART Professional registry.
