Issue description
You want to add external people to certain projects in BIMcloud Basic but need to prevent them from accessing or viewing other projects.
Solution
By default all teamwork users in BIMcloud Basic use simplified management, where the Everyone group provides default access to all projects for teamwork users. Users with management roles (server and project administrators) have access to all projects regardless of the Everyone group settings.
To restrict project access for external users:
1. Open BIMcloud Manager in your web browser.
2. Navigate to the Projects page.
3. Select the specific project you want to restrict access to.
4. Click Access at the top right of the project.
5. Remove the Everyone group from the access list.
6. Add individual users who should have access to this project.
7. Repeat this process for each project and library where you want to restrict access.
This method requires high administrative effort since BIMcloud Basic does not support user groups and access permissions cannot be inherited from higher-level folders.
Important Considerations
Users with management roles always have access to all projects regardless of the Everyone group configuration. If no management role is assigned and not set is selected, users only access projects where the Everyone group or the user individually appears in the access list.
In BIMcloud Basic, access panels are only available for projects and libraries, not for higher-level folders, which means permissions cannot be inherited and must be set individually for each item.
