By purchasing subscriptions in the Graphisoft Store, you will be able to use a cloud license-based BIMcloud SaaS, a modern cloud-hosted collaboration environment that supports efficient project sharing and presentation workflows.
If you are a customer who has already been using BIMcloud (whether it's BIMcloud Basic, on-premises BIMcloud, or BIMcloud SaaS using a key-based license), then you will need to manually move your data to your new cloud licence-based BIMcloud SaaS.
If you haven’t set up your new BIMcloud SaaS yet, you can find help on the BIMcloud SaaS Setup page.
Moving Teamwork Projects and Libraries
Moving Teamwork Projects and Libraries
You have two main options when moving Teamwork projects and libraries to your new BIMcloud SaaS.
Option 1: Export and Import Teamwork Projects/Libraries
Teamwork projects or libraries can be directly exported from your existing BIMcloud and then imported into the new BIMcloud SaaS.
- Snapshots can be included during export and will be transferred with the projects and libraries.
- After import, you must relink all hotlinks, drawings, and libraries to their new paths on BIMcloud SaaS.
Option 2: Save as PLN/PLA and Re-share (Recommended)
As a precaution and for better long-term performance, we recommend saving your Teamwork projects as solo PLN or PLA files, then resharing them to the new BIMcloud SaaS.
- Performance: PLN/PLA saves strip out unnecessary teamwork data, reducing file size.
- Stability: Provides a clean baseline before resharing.
- Flexibility: Allows you to audit the project before it becomes a Teamwork file again.

Post-Move Requirements & Performance Considerations
- Regardless of which method you use, you will need to relink all hotlinks, drawings, and libraries
to their new paths on BIMcloud SaaS after the move. - Option 2 will decrease the size of your Teamwork Project, which can improve performance.
- Update all linked drawings (internal and external) after moving.
- Re-publish PMK files to refresh connections and improve performance of teamwork projects.
Moving Files
If your current BIMcloud serves as a File Server (whether it's on-premises or BIMcloud SaaS) and you store files (PLN, MOD, PDF, JPEG, etc.) on it, you need to move these files to the new BIMcloud SaaS.
You can select the files from your current BIMcloud, download them locally (From any selected item in the Projects tree, click 'Download'), and then upload them to the new BIMcloud SaaS.

Moving Users and Groups
For cloud license-based BIMcloud SaaS, user management is based on the Graphisoft ID Company. Every BIMcloud user is automatically synced from the Graphisoft ID Company, and manual user creation is not possible inside the BIMcloud SaaS Manager.
Therefore, there is no need to transfer users from your existing BIMcloud; only your Graphisoft ID Company needs to be up-to-date. Every user who requires access to the new cloud licenses (Archicad and BIMcloud) must be a member of your Graphisoft ID Company.
BIMcloud User groups cannot be imported to a cloud license-based BIMcloud SaaS, so if you had user groups previously, you will need to manually recreate them in the new BIMcloud SaaS.
However, BIMcloud SaaS offers several default user groups with predefined access to help you set up the necessary permissions and access.

Moving Roles
Roles can be easily exported from the existing BIMcloud and imported to the new BIMcloud SaaS. However, BIMcloud SaaS provides several default roles with predefined access for default groups to help you set up the permissions and access you need.

Moving Accesses
The permissions set on the Access panels cannot be transferred to another BIMcloud; they have to be reset after setting up the new BIMcloud SaaS. However, the default user groups with predefined access are available to help you set up the right permissions and access.
