Description:
I changed the appearance settings of my macOS to Dark but my Archicad is still bright. How can I change the user interface of Archicad to Dark?
Solution:
Starting with macOS Mojave (10.14), Archicad can synchronize with the macOS System Preferences to adapt its appearance to Dark Mode. This means that when Dark Mode is enabled on your Mac, Archicad will automatically switch to a dark UI. Here’s how to set it up:
- Go to Options > Work Environment > More Options
- Under the Experimental Features section, check the “Enable System Appearance” then click OK.
Note: Archicad’s Dark Mode feature is tied to your macOS System Preferences. Ensure that your macOS appearance is set to “Dark” before enabling this feature in Archicad.
Additionally, you can also set the background of the workspace to a dark color.
Go to View > Grid & Editing Plane Options > Grids & Background…
Please note that this feature is only available for macOS users only at the moment.
