Why a .PLA file and not a .PLN?
.PLA files are known as Archive Files. They wrap the necessary library objects with the project file so that all necessary elements are there for us to investigate an issue.
Prepare the File Before Saving
! IMPORTANT !
Before saving a file to send to us, please visit the area of the project where the problem is happening so we can easily see it, then Save the file from that view.
Screenshots with annotations highlighting the issue are appreciated.
Save a.PLA File
- Go to File > Save As...
- Choose Format: “Archicad Archive Project” (.PLA) and choose a destination for the file.
- During save, if you get a message about “some objects or macros are missing” please disregard and save anyway.
Upload .PLA to Tech Support
Contact Technical Support and let us know you wish to send us a file. We will provide you with a link to upload larger files since most Archicad project files are too big to be sent via email.
Please Email Us
Please email us to let us know the file was uploaded so we know to look for it.
