Step 1: Prepare the File
- Before saving your file, please open the part of the project (view or layout) where the issue is happening. This helps us quickly locate and understand the problem.
- If you can, include markups with polylines or the label tool and/or text to highlight and show exactly what’s going wrong. Screenshots are also helpful. This makes it easier for us to assist you.
Step 2: Save as a .PLA File
- Go to File > Save As...
- Choose Format: “Archicad Archive Project” (.PLA) and choose a destination for the file.
- If you see a message saying “some objects or macros are missing” while saving, you can ignore it and go ahead with the save.
Note: If your question is related to library issues, please refer to the following guide to make sure you select the necessary options when saving your file:

Step 3: Upload and Notify Support
- If you don’t already have an open ticket with us, contact Graphisoft Support so we can provide you with an upload link.
- Upload the
.PLAfile using the provided method. -
Let us know in the same support thread once the upload is complete.
IMPORTANT: We receive a high volume of uploads daily. If you don’t notify us after uploading, we may not be aware that your file is ready for review.
Why a .PLA file instead of a .PLN?
A .PLA is an Archive file that saves the project along with all its library parts. This format ensures that all elements used in your project are included, even those not found in the standard libraries. Sending a .PLA file allows us to investigate the issue more accurately.
