Issue description
When opening an Archicad project file, a 'Missing Add-Ons' message will appear if the project was originally created or edited in a version of Archicad with extra add-ons that are not present in the current setup. This article explains what this dialog means and outlines steps to resolve or safely dismiss the warning, helping you determine whether action is needed on your project.
Solution
Note: Before proceeding, save a backup copy of your Archicad project file. This will allow you to recover any important data if something is removed unintentionally.
To remove add-on references from your Archicad project file and avoid the missing add-ons message, follow these steps:
- Open the Archicad project file that shows the missing add-ons dialog.
- For each add-on listed, remove the tick mark from its checkbox if you are certain that add-on data is not needed.
- Click the OK button to close the dialog.
- Save the project file; this removes add-on meta-data and prevents the dialog from appearing in the future.
- If unsure about an add-on's impact, consult the Add-on vendor.
