Issue Description
Walls do not appear on the floor plan view even though they are visible in the 3D view and configured to show on the home story. This typically affects foundation walls or walls positioned at different elevations from the main building structure.
Solution
1. Adjust Floor Plan Cut Plane Settings
- Go to Document > Floor Plan Cut Plane.
- In the Floor Plan Cut Plane Settings dialog box, adjust the Cut Plane Height to Current Story value
- For walls positioned below the standard cut plane, increase the offset value to ensure the cutting plane intersects the walls.
- For foundation walls on sloped sites, you may need to set a specific offset value to match the wall elevation.
- Click OK to apply the changes
- Save these settings with your view by right-clicking on your View's name in the View tab or the View map and choosing the option Redefine with Current Window Settings.
2. Check Wall Floor Plan Display Settings
- Select the missing walls in a 3D or Section View.
- Open the Wall selection settings (right-click or shortcut Ctrl/Cmd + T)
- Expand the Floor Plan and Section panel
- Under Floor Plan Display, verify the setting is appropriate:
- Choose Projected with Overhead to show both cut and overhead portions
- Select Symbolic Cut for walls that should always display as cut regardless of position
- Under Show on Stories, ensure the setting matches your requirements:
- Select All Relevant Stories to show walls on all stories they intersect
- Choose Home Story Only if walls should only appear on their designated story
3. Verify Renovation Filter Settings
- Check the current Renovation Filter in the view settings
- Verify that the missing walls have the correct Renovation Status assigned
- Ensure the active renovation filter includes the renovation status of the missing walls
- If necessary, adjust the renovation filter or reassign the renovation status to the walls
4. Check Design Options Settings
- Go to Window > Palettes > Design Options palette.
- Verify the correct Design Option is visible in the current view.
- Check that the missing walls are assigned to the active Design Option.
- If walls belong to a different Design Option, update the Design Options Combination or Relink the walls to the current option in the Design Options palette.
