How can I customize the Autotext Keywords

Description

The Rename Items function in the Archicad Publisher allows you to customize the names of output files (e.g., PDFs, DWGs, or other formats) using Autotext Keywords. How can I customize these?

Solution

Archicad does not allow you to directly add new keywords to the default list, but you can work around this by using the project info to add Layout Info or Custom Fields:

Method 1: Add Custom Fields to Project Info

1. Go to File > Info > Project Info.
2. Add new custom fields, such as “Client Name” or “Issue Date,” and fill in the relevant details.
3. These custom fields can be referenced with Autotext Keywords in Publisher’s Rename Items

Method 2: Add Fields in Layout Info Scheme

1. Go to Document > Layout Book > Book settings.
2. Add new fields to the Layout Info Scheme as needed.
3. Use these new fields as part of the file-naming convention in Publisher.
