Solution
Designing the Custom Panel
You can create a custom panel using Archicad’s modeling tools or by importing a custom object.
1. Draw the Basic Shape:
- In the plan or 3D view, draw the outline of the panel. You can use various drawing tools (lines, arcs, etc.) to define the boundary of your custom panel.
2. Refine the Design:
- Add details such as openings, recesses, texture or objects
3. Save as a GDL Object:
- Select all the components
- Go to File > Libraries and Objects > Save Selection As > Custom Wall Panel
- Give your object a distinctive name and save it to your project library or a specific folder.
Open Curtain Wall Settings:
- In the Tool Settings dialog, navigate to the Curtain Wall panel settings.
Define a New Custom Panel Type:
- Go to the Scheme Settings tab or the Panel Types section.
- Click the New Panel button to create a new panel type.
Choose Your Custom Panel
- In the panel type settings, select “Custom” or similar options.
- Browse and select your previously saved custom object.
Apply to the Curtain Wall
- Assign your new custom panel type to the relevant sections of the Curtain Wall.
