Issue Description
This article shows how to create a symbol-based line type for elements you do not want to model (such as water lines), and ensure that it scales correctly at different drawing scales.
Solution
1. Set the scale to 1:1
2. Draw the line at true size using the line circle or polyline tool
3. Copy the text and go to the Options > Element Attributes > Lines.
4. Select New...
5. Select Symbol type and name the line type.
6. Select the new line and press Paste into Pattern in the editor.
7. Edit the Dash and the Gap values.
The dash value defines the length of your created line from start to finish.
Gap is the distance before the next instance of the line begins again.
7. Select Scale with Plan (Model Size) to make the line scalable
