License not recognized, did I Install the wrong Archicad version (Full vs Solo)?

Issue description

If you cannot start Archicad or your license is not recognized, the installed version of Archicad may not match your license type, or your license may not be available on your computer.

This can happen if:

• The wrong version is installed (Archicad Solo instead of Archicad (Full), or vice versa)
• Your license is not available on the computer:
  • A software protection key has not been downloaded
  • A cloud license has not been assigned or activated

Solution

1. Check which edition of Archicad is installed

1. Open the installation folder:
   • Windows: C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\
   • macOS: Applications/GRAPHISOFT/
2. Check the application folder name:
   • Archicad ## Solo = Archicad Solo is installed
   • Archicad ## = Archicad (Full) is installed

Tip: You can also open Archicad and go to Help > About Archicad. The installed edition is shown there.

2. Install the correct version

Step 1: Uninstall the incorrect version

• If the installed version does not match the product you purchased, uninstall it first.

Step 2: Install the correct product

1. Download and install the correct version from the Graphisoft Downloads page.
2. In the Products tab, make sure you select the correct:
   • Product
   • Language version
   • Version
   • Platform / operating system
     
3. If the version you need does not appear, open the Legacy versions and other product types list under Version.

Step 3: Update Archicad

• After installation, open Archicad and go to Help > Check for Updates.
• You can also download updates from the Graphisoft Downloads page directly.

3. Choose your situation

Archicad Solo and standard Archicad licenses are not interchangeable. After downloading and installing the correct version of Archicad, if Archicad still does not launch correctly, ensure that you are using the correct license for your product by following the instructions below based on your license type:
