Description
You need to download or reinstall the Archicad Solo edition installer but cannot find it on the Graphisoft downloads page, and your current license is unable to run Archicad Full.
Solution
Archicad Solo installers are stored by default in the Legacy and other product types section because they are not the primary product offering.
To access the Archicad Solo installer:
- Navigate to the Graphisoft downloads page.
- Sign in using your Graphisoft ID credentials.
- Select your language version from the dropdown menu, and under Product, select Archicad.
- Under Version, expand the Legacy and other product types list.
- Select your required Archicad Solo version (such as Archicad Solo 28 or 27).
- Choose your platform (macOS or Windows).
- Click Download to save the installer.
Note: Archicad Solo requires a complete installation for each version rather than incremental updates.
Installation process
- Double-click the downloaded installer file.
- Click Next to begin installation.
- Read and accept the License Agreement.
- Confirm the Installation Directory (default path recommended for future updates).
- Select Typical setup (recommended) or Custom for specific components.
- Review the installation summary.
- Click Install.
- For macOS users: Enable Full Disk Access when prompted in system settings.
- Click Finish when installation completes.
Functional limitations
Archicad Solo provides identical core modeling functionality to the full version but excludes three features:
- Teamwork: Collaboration capabilities for multi-user projects.
- Cinema 4D rendering engine (Basic rendering engine remains available).
- Hotlink and XREF external file referencing.
All other tools and capabilities function identically between Solo and full versions.
Important Information: Archicad Solo availability varies by market. Contact your local Graphisoft reseller to verify availability and licensing options in your region.
