How to open legacy .plp files

Issue description

You are trying to open an old Archicad file in .plp format, using Archicad 27 or newer.

Solution

1. Rename the file extension from .plp to .pln on a copy of the file to keep the original intact.
2. Launch any Archicad version from 17 through 26 and open the renamed .pln.
   • If the file does not open normally, use Open & Repair from the Open dialog.
3. Save the project in that intermediary version.
4. Open the newly saved file in Archicad 27 or newer and continue working.
