Description
Recent changes have been introduced to the BIMx licensing system. To access BIMx features, users are now required to sign in with a personal Graphisoft ID (GSID). This article explains the requirements for using BIMx, how the sign-in process works, and where to create and manage a Graphisoft ID.
Instructions
For an overview of current BIMx licensing changes, see the article on BIMx Licensing.
Using BIMx without sign-in
Without creating or signing in with a Graphisoft ID, you can still access sample content, such as:
- The built-in demo model. Once this model is selected, more will open only after authentication.
- The featured models available on the BIMx Model Transfer site.
- One additional custom model without authentication.
Using BIMx with a Graphisoft ID
To open projects in BIMx on iOS, Android, or Desktop, you need to sign in with a registered Graphisoft ID. After signing in, you remain authenticated for 1 year as long as you are occasionally online. When working offline, you can continue to use BIMx without re-signing in for up to 7 days.
Creating a Graphisoft ID
Graphisoft ID (GS ID) is a unique identifier, based on a user's email address, to allow unified login to various web systems managed by Graphisoft. Below are the steps on how to create a GSID:
- Register for a personal ID here: Create a Graphisoft ID.
- Once registered, confirm your credentials by logging in: Sign in to Graphisoft ID.
