BIMx Hyper-model Publishing: Emergency License Guide

Issue description

When Archicad is operating under an emergency license, publishing a BIMx hyper-model directly to the BIMx Model Transfer site may not be possible. This is a temporary issue that resolves itself once Archicad returns to using its standard license. While waiting for the emergency license to expire, an alternative workflow is required to upload BIMx models.

Solution

Although publishing directly to the BIMx Model Transfer site is restricted under an emergency license, users can still manually upload locally saved BIMx hyper-models.

1. In Archicad, select the 'Save file' option when publishing your hyper-model. The 'Upload to BIMx Model Transfer site' option is typically grayed out for emergency license holders.

   

2. Visit BIMx Model Transfer.
3. Sign in with your Graphisoft ID.
4. Navigate to the target folder (you can create a new folder using the '+Add new folder' button).
5. Hit the button 'Upload BIMx Hyper-model' and select the file you want to upload.
6. Set the visibility of the model as private or public.
7. Hit 'Publish' to finish the process.
