Issue description
You can only view one BIMx hypermodel on your device without signing in. When attempting to open additional hypermodels the application restricts access and requests authentication.
Solution
1. Sign in the Graphisoft ID
This limitation occurs because BIMx requires a Graphisoft ID login to access multiple hypermodels on the same device. Without signing in users can only open one model. Once this model is selected, more will open only after authentication.
BIMx Mobile (iOS, iPadOS, Android):
- Open the BIMx Mobile application.
- Navigate to the Settings menu through the three-line menu icon.
- Select Sign In with Graphisoft ID.
- Sign in with your Graphisoft ID.
Note:
If you do not have a Graphisoft ID, you can create an account. - Tap Sign In to authenticate.
BIMx Desktop (Windows, macOS):
- Open the BIMx Desktop application.
- Access the Help menu from the top menu bar.
- Select Sign In with Graphisoft ID.
- Sign in with your Graphisoft ID.
Note:
If you do not have a Graphisoft ID, you can create an account. - Tap Sign In to authenticate.
After signing in successfully:
- Your Graphisoft ID should appear in the application interface.
- You can now open and switch between multiple BIMx hypermodels.
Additional Information:
BIMx provides different levels of functionality based on authentication status. Users without a Graphisoft ID can access the built-in demo model and one additional hypermodel. However signing in unlocks the ability to view multiple models and access enhanced collaboration features, e. g. Issue Creation in BIMx and Hide 3D elements and layers in BIMx.
2. Use BIMx in browser
BIMx Web does not require signing in at all.
