Issue description
You are trying to edit a placed drawing frame in a Layout but the drawing's frame will not move or resize properly. The frame appears to snap to specific locations instead of allowing free movement or resizing.
Solution
This problem occurs because Snap to Construction Grid is enabled. When this snap function is active it restricts cursor movement to grid intersection points which prevents precise positioning of drawing frames.
To resolve this issue:
- Go to View > Grid Snap to deactivate the toggle
- Or go to View > Grid Snap Options and ensure no snap option is selected
Once you have disabled Snap to Construction Grid you will be able to freely resize and reposition drawing frames in Layout without the cursor being restricted to grid intersection points. You can now adjust the frame boundaries using the pet palette editing commands or by dragging the frame edges to the desired position.
Tip: You can use the Shift+S shortcut to toggle between No snap, Snap to Construction Grid, and Snap to Snap Grid options.
