Issue description
You are creating a Zone Schedule and want to show floor and wall finishes, but these parameters are not available fields in the scheme settings. Additionally, the standard zone parameters with Floor and Wall Finish display Undefined values only, even though it is correctly displayed and set in Zone Stamps/Labels.
Solution
The Zone Stamp parameters, including floor and wall finishes, are stored as Library Part Parameters and require a specific method to access them in schedules. By default, these parameters are not visible in the standard zone schedule fields.
- Open the Scheme Settings of your Zone Schedule via Document > Schedules > Scheme Settings.
- In the Scheme Settings dialog, go to the Fields section, where you will see the Add Fields button.
- Click on the small dropdown arrow button beside Add Fields and select Library Part Parameters from the dropdown menu.
- This will open the Additional Object Parameters window, where you can access zone stamp parameters.
- In the Additional Object Parameters dialog:
- Select the appropriate zone stamp from your library (in this case, Zone Stamp 02)
- Browse through the Available Parameters list to find finish-related parameters like:
- Floor finish parameters (stFloorCovering)
- Wall finish parameters (stWallCovering)
- You can use a search bar method to find the parameters by changing the Select Object by option.
- Select the desired finish parameters and click Add to include them in your schedule fields.
- Click OK to confirm your selections and close the dialog.
- Arrange the fields in your preferred order using the up/down arrows in the Fields panel.
- Click OK to apply the changes to your schedule scheme.
The zone schedule will now display the floor and wall finish information that is stored in the Zone Stamps. You can edit these values directly in the schedule or through the individual Zone Settings.
NOTE: The finish parameters must be properly configured in your zone stamps for this method to work effectively. If you need to customize the available finish options, you can modify the zone stamp's GDL script to include custom dropdown values for different finish types.
