How to fix black background in BIMx 3D model?

Issue description

After exporting a 3D model to BIMx, the background appears black instead of the expected default skybox background which affects the visual presentation and navigation experience.

Solution

The black background in BIMx exports occurs because the Model Background setting in the BIMx Export Options is set to Black. To fix this problem, you need to change this setting to Skybox or another preferred background option during the BIMx export process.

1. Open the publisher (Fourth icon in the navigator).
2. Create or select your  BIMx Publisher Set.
3. Select the 3D view from the Publisher Set items list.
4. Click on Options... to open the BIMx Export Options dialog.
   
5. In the Model Background section, change the setting from Black to Skybox
   
6. Click OK to confirm the settings.
7. Publish your BIMx Hyper-model.

Available Background Options

• Skybox (default BIMx Sky image) - Recommended setting for a realistic environmental background.
• White - Plain white background
• Grey - Plain grey background
• Black - Plain black background
• Gradient - Gradient background effect
