Issue description
You created a custom door and see it correctly in floor plan view. In 3D view only an empty opening appears. The doorframe and leaf components are not visible in the 3D window.
Solution
The problem occurs because the slab used to create the door has its Element ID set to Wallhole by default. This results in Archicad cutting an opening on the wall but hiding door elements in 3D.
Correct the Element ID
- Select the slab used for the custom door.
- Open the slab settings.
- In the Classification and Properties panel change the Element ID from Wallhole to a non-reserved name such as Door or Custom.
- Click OK to apply.
- Resave the object via File > Libraries and Objects > Save the selection as a Door.
TIPS:
- Use Wallhole only to cut an empty opening through a wall.
- Use Wallniche to cut a niche into the wall's depth.
- Use any other ID for door elements to display properly in 3D.
